Derbion is extremely proud to be a sponsor for the Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon event at Derby Cathedral from 12th October – 10th November 2023.
Last seen in Derby as part of Festé 2019, Derby Cathedral welcomes the Moon back to delight and enthral audiences once again.
Measuring seven metres in diameter, Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork featuring detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface. The installation is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight and surround sound composition created by BAFTA and award winning composer Dan Jones.
Exciting events will take place under the Moon as part of the programme, creating memorable experiences for all audiences.
